San Francisco Chronicle: Metallica breaks record raising $3.5 million during charity concert
Metallica has reached a new milestone in its philanthropic endeavors, raising a record amount for charity during its most recent benefit concert.
The Bay Area metal band announced that last year’s iteration of its annual Helping Hands Concert and Auction, which supports its nonprofit philanthropic organization All Within My Hands, has set a new record by raising more than $3.5 million.
