KEVN: Metallica & Lowe’s Home Improvement to fund supplies for construction programs at Western Dakota Tech
RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) - Western Dakota Technical College received funding for supplies in various construction programs in the 2023-2024 school year from a source you might not expect - Metallica. The metal band launched the Metallica Scholars Initiative in 2019 as a part of their charitable foundation, ‘All Within My Hands.’ In 2023, Western Dakota Tech became one of 41 community and technical colleges receiving $100,000 grants from the foundation.
