Forbes: A Day Of Service With Metallica

For the second time in six months I am at the L.A. Food Bank with one of the biggest rock bands in the world. This past December I was here with members of the Foo Fighters for a barbeque and benefit to raise money for the food bank.
This time I am here on a Wednesday afternoon with Metallica' bassist Robert Trujillo, who is here as part of the "Day Of Service." He is here with dozens of volunteers, sorting foods, packing bags to feed the hungry.
As he tells me when we sit down in a conference room at the food bank to discuss his role in being here, his Metallica band mates are scattered around the U.S. doing the same thing he is, volunteering to feed the hungry and homeless.
