#MetallicaGivesBack Vienna: €40,000 Granted to Three Local Organizations

With a quick visit to Vienna for Racino Rocks, Metallica worked with Live Nation Austria to give back to the local community via three valuable NGOs: Die Tafel Österreich, neunerhaus, and Wiener Frauenhäuser.
Die Tafel Österreich, founded as Wiener Tafel, is Austria's largest and oldest food bank organization. Since 1999, it has provided people affected by poverty with rescued food free of charge. With the aim of combating poverty and hunger, in 2023 alone, over 1,000 tons of food were rescued and passed along to more than 35,000 people through 100 charitable organizations. Die Tafel Österreich is receiving €10,000 along with a matching donation from Iveco Group.
neunerhaus is a social organization based in Vienna that supports people who are unhoused and at risk of poverty. Its goal is to help people live a self-determined life. neunerhaus believes in the fundamental right to housing and health care for all, and each year, the organization supports more than 1000 formerly unhoused people through residential buildings in partnership with Housing First. Roughly 6000 adults and children access the neunerhaus health center annually. The organization also operates a café, which provides healthy food, and a veterinary clinic run by volunteers. neunerhaus is receiving €15,000 along with a matching donation from Iveco Group.
Wiener Frauenhäuser is an association of women’s shelters that has been offering protection and counseling for women affected by domestic violence since 1978. The association runs five women’s shelters, which provide 228 places for women and children in Vienna. The counseling center also offers psychological and legal support. Wiener Frauenhäuser is receiving €15,000 along with a matching donation from Iveco Group.
