#MetallicaGivesBack Milan: €40,000 Granted to Two Local Organizations

Metallica’s set at I-Days Milano brought out the fans and philanthropy! With the help of the M72 European Tour sponsor, Iveco Group, and Live Nation, Italy, two incredible organizations, SpesaSospesa and Progetto Arca, received our support this week.
SpesaSospesa is a solidarity initiative by Fondazione Lab00 that supports the most economically disadvantaged families through donations and the redistribution of surplus necessities. Funds raised by the organization are allocated to charitable associations where SpesaSospesa is present. SpesaSospesa relies on an innovative digital platform called Regusto for the purchase, sale, and donation of surplus basic necessities, where businesses, distribution chains, and local producers can donate or sell their products at discounted prices. Every step is traceable and carried out locally, thus creating a community support network that monitors and guarantees transparency and effectiveness of social activities. The SpesaSospesa project is receiving €20,000 along with a matching donation from Iveco Group.
Fondazione Progetto Arca Onlus believes that human dignity is an essential value and a fundamental right. For 30 years, the organization has been committed to providing concrete aid to those experiencing severe poverty and social exclusion by offering assistance, hot meals and food packages, safe shelter, medical care, and real homes. The community it serves includes unhoused individuals, families facing economic and housing crises, people with addiction problems, elderly people without protection, and migrants fleeing from wars and poverty. In the last year alone, they have served 53,000 people who live on the streets. By listening with respect and without prejudice, Progetto Arca guides people in need to a future of autonomy and social integration. Fondazione Progetto Arca Onlus is receiving €20,000 along with a matching donation from Iveco Group.
