#MetallicaGivesBack Edmonton: C$100,000 Granted to Two Non-Profit Organizations

AUGUST 26, 2024

Metallica’s M72 Word Tour stop in Edmonton gave us the opportunity to contribute to the local community. With the help of Live Nation Canada and the fans in attendance at Commonwealth Stadium, we committed C$100,000 between two organizations doing great work in the Edmonton area: Edmonton’s Food Bank and WIN House.

Edmonton’s Food Bank strives to be stewards in collecting surplus and donated food for effective distribution, free of charge, to people in need in its community while seeking solutions to the causes of hunger. With the community's support, the organization provides food for roughly 40,000 people each month through its hamper programs and over 400,000 meals/snacks monthly with the help of its partner soup kitchens, shelters, schools, and other community groups. Edmonton’s Food Bank is receiving C$50,000.

For over fifty years, WIN House has been a beacon of safety and support for Edmonton and its surrounding areas, providing a refuge for women, non-binary individuals, and children seeking escape from dangerous situations. A dedicated team of professionals, volunteers, and donors exemplifies WIN House’s unwavering commitment to those it serves. The shelter remains steadfast in its promise to offer safety, support, relief, and resources to those in need. WIN House is receiving C$50,000.
