Helping Hands 2024 Sets New Record With More Than $3.5 Million Raised

What has become a biennial family reunion of sorts, the Helping Hands Concert & Auction is so much more than a party with amazing guests and a unique setlist. In its fourth iteration, the benefit show broke records, raising over $3,500,000 for All Within My Hands, supporting workforce education, the fight against hunger, and other critical local services.
What does this money mean?
Funds raised through ticket sales, auction items and experiences, merch, sponsorship, and donations empower AWMH to make a sustainable difference. We can plan for the future of our flagship program, the Metallica Scholars Initiative, which currently supports 60 schools across all 50 United States plus Guam. We can continue our long-standing partnerships with local food banks battling hunger. And we can act with urgency when disasters strike, making donations that will aid in immediate relief and long-term recovery.
Over the past eight years, it has become increasingly apparent and equally humbling that we are not pursuing our mission alone. The Metallica Family steps up in force time and again to join AWMH’s efforts.
For Helping Hands, our marquee event, we are still marveling at the combination of support and star power that makes this benefit come to life. From the names you all know onstage—Jimmy Kimmel, Sammy Hagar, Michael Anthony, Joe Satriani, Kenny Aronoff, Jason Momoa, Tom Morello, RZA, Jeff Ament, and SistaStrings—to everyone behind the scenes at YouTube Theater, our partners at Live Nation, the Metallica crew, AWMH & HQ staff, and our amazing volunteers. From our honorees who each received $50,000 supporting their work—Montana Pool Service, Homeboy Industries, and Support + Feed—to every fan honoring the band and foundation from the seats in the venue or at home reliving the show on YouTube. These are the people who make up our community, not defined by location but by purpose.
